"It’s important to see what’s invisible to others" - Robert frank
I photograph weddings in a very unique way each time and aim to give a timeless, yet creative style to your photographs. My style is heavily influenced by my background in fine art, where I deeply consider colour, light, shadows and composition. My style is reportage, I photograph very naturally and it's important to me to be inconspicuous on your day (I have been a guest at many weddings and always feel the best photographer is the one who is discreet). I will also never ask you to overly pose, I prefer to let the location do the talking and to capture my couples exactly in the way that suits their character.
I choose to photograph just 12 weddings a year, which allows me time to invest more into your plans, your day and the process afterwards; where I personally select and individually retouch your photographs.
'Marmelo' happens to be Portuguese for Marmalade, you know, preserving sweet memories! I have the very best memories of being a kid and scoffing down marmalade on toast with my family, especially with my amazing grandma (otherwise known as G-ma) who used to let me scoff it down before bed, even though it meant I was up for an hour longer. Photographing a wedding is a very personal journey for both me and my couples, and it was important for me to inject a little bit of something I love into this
